:: Snow White ::
Created as an assignment submitted to a Fine Arts course entitled Digital Editing (F230) offered in fall 1999, this site is my an experimentation on storytelling using HTML4. My goal was to rewrite the well-known fairy tale, Snow White, through the multiple viewpoints of various characters in the tale. The splash screen includes all the pronouns that represent these characters. While "I" is Snow White herself, "she" and "he" denote the evil queen and the king respectively. "They," on the other hand, are the voices of the seven dwarves who give Snow White shelter and food while she is hiding away from the queen. The fairy tale, incomplete due to the limited scope of the project, is trimmed down to express the turning points in the narrative with hidden hyperlinked words linked to the continuation of the story. These words highlight the key concepts of the tale and are, thus, significant in terms of the plot development .The goal of the reader, then, is to figure out the hyperlinked words that allow the story to progress as she secures her passage to the subsequent page. The background color, red, is chosen specifically to highlight the underlying nature of the story: that it is a story about murder, revenge, and sexual growth.
